Introducing our canned fruit, MARmaldes.
The Goal: To practice canning sweeter fruit recipes that balance of color, shape, canning methods, texture and taste.
The Dedication: Each fruit will be named for a great woman of the world. This first collection is entitled “The Originals” and is named for the Colechio sisters including my grandmother, Evelyn.
The Card: This collection was a collaboration with Elizabeth Barsotti, who wrote a poem for each recipe, helped to decide on all of the titles, and gave her cursive handwriting to the jar top design. A small card, which also included a process photo, was printed to accompany each jar.
